Deleterious Effects

Many people think progress was made. Many people haven't heard the slew of comments and derogatory statements made toward the LGBT community for their request for equal rights. I have sought through threads on Facebook, debates on Twitter and even sadly, some very well known people who seem to be in line with siding with those who do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle. One republican named, Dave Agema. He listed some "statistics" about homosexuality. Some of it reads, "Part of the homosexual agenda is to turn people from Christianity: The teaching that only male-female sexual activity within the bounds and constraints of marriage is the only acceptable form should be reason enough for any homosexual to denounce the Christian religion." Well, I'm Christian and never tried to turn anyone away from their religion just because I wanted the same rights with my wife. I'm not sure where he gets his statistics. Another statement reads, "Homosexuals l...

The Aspiring Professional Lurker

Without a doubt, I know most people who read my blog are also writers or have the urge to, at least. Some days it comes easy and other days, it feels as though there isn’t one word to describe how I’m feeling; I’m just simply out of steam. For work purposes, it comes easily because there’s an agenda. There’s more of a structured type of program I follow. But, for this blog, my personal little doodling pad, I find it difficult at times to express myself the way I want to, or find the words I want to type. The other night I was watching, Finding Forester , a movie about an afro-american teen writing prodigy who finds a mentor in a reclusive author.  The author was encouraging the boy to write. He said something very significant: “Your first draft you write with your heart. Your second draft you write with your head.” I remember in grammar school we had those ditto sheets. The teacher would tell us to “speed write”---meaning: write every single thought onto the paper as fast as you ...

The morning started off bad. We ran out of coffee and had to use a blend from a gift bag we got a few months ago with an Elvis logo on it. The coffee was irritatingly strong and tasted like freshly brewed mierda. It’s the thought that counts, right? I headed back into the kitchen to pour no brand cereal into my bowl. Madelene insists on getting the “Cheerio-like” cereals in a ‘no brand name’, but hell if she’s touching my Special K. Anyway, while pouring the contents of this disgusting cereal, a huge blobby cereal grain covered something or other fell out into the bowl. Whatever was in the factory or scurrying around apparently fell right into the box. Lovely. Mind you, this was after the fact Madelene ate two bowls of it. That’ll teach her. I won’t be suing, although I really could use the extra cash. I’m highly sensitive and grumpy today. I am avoiding every single person that knows me or may meet me in person accidentally. I am in full isolation mode. You may read my words but hell ...

Gay Christianity - My First Video

This is my very first video I made which deals with the hatred of many Christian fundamentalists towards homosexuals. How can another Christian with so much love for God hate another human being for being who they are? I tackled this topic more than a gazillion times. I just wanted to post this video back up in case my new blogging friends haven’t seen it. It was lost in another account and deleted by someone who had hatred in her heart as well. (The text in the video may appear too small. I apologize, it was my first run with iMovie.)

Using the Bible to Bash Homosexuals

We’re not broken. It’s amazing how some people will find flaws in others. It’s crazy when other Christians cast stones while preaching the word of God. There are a bunch of Ted Haggards roaming the earth. A few “ so called loving Christians ” have voiced their concerns with my new book. They’re afraid that I’m teaching a false doctrine. I’m not writing a bible here. I’m writing a book based upon the differences between religion and spirituality in my own views. I have that right. People have the right to choose what they believe. I have no authority over that. God gave us “choice”. We have the right to make our own decisions and conclusions of whether or not we’d find solace believing in a particular faith or belief system. Why do people feel they can fix others? Why do so many “Christians” want to change people and mold them in a form that suits their own kind? I truly believe that these types of people don’t have enough faith in what Jesus has done for us, that they feel the need to ...

Holy Wars

The other night, I watched Flight 93, about the 9/11 hijacking. It brought back some painful and unnerving memories, as I remembered every single minute of how that day unfolded. We rarely speak of Flight 93’s tragedy and head right into the deep horror of the two planes that flew right into both towers of the World Trade Center. Each hijacker had such a love for their God, that they were not only willing to kill others, but they were ready to take their own lives for their God. It’s a scary concept to fathom. The assailing images of this movie raised my blood pressure. The reasoning behind their motives was a reminder of what goes on in any religious holy war. The determination to kill for your God is a total contradiction, just as some would feel that being a gay Christian is a contradiction to the Christian doctrine. We believe what we believe. When we hear the message of God from other Christians, we must keep in mind that there are many beliefs within the religion of Christianity...

Jesus Paid the Price In Full

Through faith, we are God’s children. Galatians explains this perfectly. God’s Children Through Faith Let me put it in another way. The law was our guardian and teacher to lead us until Christ came. So now, through faith in Christ, we are made right with God. But now that faith in Christ has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian. So you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have been made like him. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are ALL Christians—you are one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and now all the promises God gave to him belong to you. ~Galatians 3:24-29 There is a huge difference between sinning and a sinful heart. Sinning is simply being human. A sinful heart desires to sin – it wants to hurt people and deliberately wants to steal your joy. A human that sins is natural. We repe...
