Living Proof

The other day someone asked me if I wanted kids. And while I've stated before that yes, we did at one time, I just can't get myself to raise a child in this crazy world. It's an era of entitlement. It's a time when those who don't get their little needs met, they pout, scream, throw a tantrum, and as adults, protest and wreck other people's properties. We live in a world, where if someone gets either fired, or offended, they're likely to walk into the building that you're in, shooting you and the rest of the people standing nearby. We live in a world, where we don't care about terrorism, but we care about people accepting us "as we are", even if we identify ourselves by a third or fourth gender, and beg for America to accept that. By all means, we should be accepted, but not irrationally accepting those who want to go above and beyond the means of science. But hey, religion isn't science either, so there's that. This morning I woke up confused. It's Primary Day, and although I have detached myself from either left or right parties -- I'm lost about who to vote for. When you think about the candidate you're choosing, do you base it on what you hear from mainstream media? Or do you mostly base your decision upon what other people say about them? How do you know who's right and who's wrong? And how do you get real and true info on each candidate? Do you believe what they say? I mean, let's face it -- all politicians are liars anyway. Here's my dilemma. Not every pro-lifer is a republican. Not every person of the LGBT community is a liberal or democrat. Not every Christian is a republican either. Why do all of these political opinions categorize someone into a political party? I guess you can call someone an "independent" if they have various views on certain issues? Or maybe that's up to the person? Or, maybe the democrats and republicans all sleep in...

Months, even weeks ago I stated many times that I was so sick and tired of politics that I would actually vote for Trump just for the entertainment itself. He's a showman, an attention grabber, as well as a sideshow circus. Why not? Every other president before him seemed to have taken on the "class clown" status in their own quirky and corrupt way. But this is a bit different. Again, I will state that I am not a liberal or a conservative. I have views that land both in the left and right field of politics. I also usually never dabble in politics, especially on Facebook. I guess blogging is different. So my opinions will flow freely on this forum. Why is Trump taking this to a whole new level? Is it because people wouldn't vote for him unless he has pushed the envelope? He seems to cater to the older generation. Let’s face it, people love drama. They love the thrill of pointing fingers and coming to outrageous conclusions about whatever. Lately, with all the media chatter about Rev. Terry Jones who had planned to burn the Qurans this September 11th, the mosque being built near ground zero and most of all, calling someone a "hero" for jumping out of a chute of an airplane just because he had a hissy fit for whatever reason, is just insane. A real hero, as Ian Lidster stated on my previous post, is the guy who set the plane down in the river and everybody got off alive. That’s a true and genuine hero --not this nutcase Steven Slater. Let that story RIP please. My real issue today is the media though. For now, the burning of the Quran has been canceled. This pastor who had no more than 50 people in his congregation stirred up nationwide chaos. Who’s to blame? The media.
