Living Proof

Maybe some of you who are reading this are saying to yourselves, "Oh no. Not another negative religious post in self-defense."  Well, yes and no. "YES" because I have come to the conclusion that the people who are against the LGBT community who rant about how sinful our lifestyles are.....are absolutely crazy. And "NO" because I am taking a much needed break from the craziness of it all. And I'll tell you why: nobody hones in on just one thing and tears is apart until it is completely dead who isn't already  spiritually dead themselves. The other day I received a very disturbing email. I mean -- I've received some top of the line disturbing emails, but this one struck me differently. It was like a cry for help. I'll just post some of it below without revealing his name, only because this poor guy has a rap sheet longer than the ancient scrolls of the Bible. Have you ever been taken down by negative words that took away all of your hope, faith and possibly, your self-esteem? Has anyone ever said to you, “You can’t do it” or “You can’t afford that”, and wondered what motive or intention they had behind those negative words that only left a bitter taste in your mouth? They’re a bunch of Bitter Bettys or Negative Nellys, as I call them - the people who bitch, moan and whine about this, that and the other thing. Everything is a complaint, insult or just a jab at your lifestyle or status. Most will tell you ‘what you should do’, but rarely practice any of their own preaching. I have officially decided that from here on out, I am avoiding all of these Bitter Bettys & Negative Nellys, and focusing on people who don’t wish to put their two cents into my life or what I “can’t” do, because frankly, I can do anything I want --we all can do whatever we want, afford whatever we can, and better yet, be happy the best we can. You’re probably wondering what grudge people are, but I do have a very good explanation. Have you ever been around somebody who constantly “ughs” every little thing in life? Everything is either an eye roll, a sigh, an eckkk or just a grunt of an unenthusiastic gripe. I can totally understand when people complain about something they don’t like or they don’t particularly care for, or perhaps, they’re going through a rough time and ‘grunting’ through it all - which is fine - but when does it come to the point of grunting at every little thing in life? Within the past year, I had to remove a couple of these “grudge” people out of my life. Their negativity eventually rubbed off and there I was, grunting about this and that. They’re the types that sit there and flap their gums about ‘she did this’ or ‘he did that’ and ‘why me, why me’... . If you stay with them long enough, you’ll find that you’ll be doing the same thing, or at least to some extent. Then you have your ‘fishing grudge p...
