No Gay Marriage & Wait - No Porn Either!

Image
Michelle Bachman, the GOP congresswoman has put her foot down on gay marriage, and yes, pornography too. This may backfire on her, if she only knew the amount of smut on many right wing conservatives' hard drives. She should have just stuck to her guns with her attempt to ban gay marriage only. Now she’s included every single person on this planet, well maybe except the pope. In the New York Daily News , it states, “The GOP congresswoman is the first presidential candidate to sign a pledge that calls for banning all forms of pornography and gay marriage. It also requires fidelity between spouses.” So not only does she want to ban gay marriage and pornography, but she wants to stop infidelity as well. Honestly, this woman is off her rocker if she thinks she can control the lives of people living in a free country. She has to be out of her mind if she thinks she’s going to get any votes whatsoever. Being in a lesbian marriage myself, my wife and I have actually voted for president...

Another Reason Not to Vote

I’m so politically exhausted. I feel like screaming out of my apartment, “I HATE EVERYONE”, like a maniac running out of a psyche ward, but my neighbors would most likely call the guys in the white coats to come after me. What happens days before the election that people get so passionate and so vulgar with one another that it comes down to political blows and insults right into name calling? What are we trying to do? You vote for Obama. He votes for McCain. Another refuses to vote. Some vote for Paris Hilton. Why can’t we just secretly have our political views, vote for who we want and just be happy with that, instead of attacking one another? Are we trying to change people’s minds? Are we trying to convince ourselves that our choice is the “right” one? Or are we just trying to be right? In the end result, whoever wins, whichever candidate gets the royal crown, we all come together as a country regardless. Or do we? Does anyone still have passionate debates anymore after the election...

Sarah Palin - Two Parts

Err, what? Take a look at the first (fake) version of Sarah Palin and then take a look at the real Sarah Palin in the second part of this video. Too funny.

Don't Vote!

With the wedding bells coming to a halt and life beginning to go back to normal, I hear the hum of political jibber jabber on every news channel, personal blog, radio station, ----oh and my local newspaper. Yes, I read newspapers and I can tell you the sources too, unlike Palin. Most of you know I was 100% for the McCain/Palin ticket. The more and more Sarah Palin speaks, the more I cringe. At first, I loved her. She rocked! I know that every politician lies, but for the love of God--------be a good liar! My father used to always say, “If ya gonna steal---steal big! Get yourself an armored car and run!” I’m sure all the ink from the money would spew all over my face like a fricken octopus, but probably well worth it. Think about this: Sarah Palin isn’t fit or prepared to become our next president. Yes, I said “next president” because we all know that she’s literally one heartbeat away from the presidential seat. She can’t even name one newspaper that she reads. Her response was, “Ohhhh...

Sarah Palin Ain't Got Nuttin' On Me!

Another sunrise, another groggy stumble out of the bedroom trip over and fall down trying to make it to the front door type of morning, in hopes that none of my neighbors see me fumbling for the packaged up newspaper on my welcome mat that the paperboy flung so violently at my apartment 4am, waking me up and disturbing my sleep only leaving me to wake up even more tired and grouchier at 6am. (What a run on sentence that was!) All I could hear was a “thud” and his little feet running down as though there was a massive fire. Instead of our usual coffee, I poured some espresso grinds into the regular coffee machine to give it an extra punch. It’s been a helluva’ week with my dress situation and I inevitably became Madelene’s worse nightmare: BRIDEZILLA. At one point, the words, “let’s just forget about it” came out of my mouth, as Madelene stood there in horror (or relief )---not quite sure. I had to get the perfect “under gear” for the dress, because, umm, well, these puppies needed a...

Can I "Write In" God?

Image
People have been buzzing around with the “threat” of writing somebody into office instead of voting for a particular candidate or even just staying home and doing absolutely nothing but bitching and moaning about who got in instead. In my own personal opinion, “writing someone in” is just as bad as a baby having a tantrum when they don’t get what they want. They’re rebellious and want their voices heard, when in fact, the whole “writing in” process isn’t even looked at. I don’t see the point, however I understand why people are unsettled about the candidates that are running. As you’ve probably guessed, I’m a bit of an outcast in the lesbian community due to my political stance and religious views. Even though I do accept my friends who believe in different religions and are left wingers or extreme liberals, I don’t expect them to change their ways, nor do I try to persuade their decisions. I do like the fact that we all have the option to speak our minds in whatever medium that...

Politically Incorrect?

Long ago in the world of G Dubbya’ beginnings, Madelene and myself signed up to be registered Republicans. For some, it’s just as bad as calling ourselves, “Christian lesbians”. In fact, there are many other gay and lesbian couples out there like us . People think it’s a total contradiction, however we feel that our views and our beliefs are more geared towards putting God first and voting for a president who will help us in the full scope of things, even if we lose “our rights” here on earth, because life on earth is so temporary. We’ve always felt that are bigger issues beyond gay rights. Would we love to have that changed? Of course, but our main concern is on a much bigger scale other than focusing in on gay marriages alone. This year, for the first time, New York is recognizing gay marriages. We’re getting married in MA that has now legalized it, which is great, but even if it wasn’t legal, there are other things that save our rights like power of attorney and beneficiary papers. ...
